Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh my!

My mom had to go Phoenix so we decided while we were out in that direction anyway, we might as well stop by the zoo for a couple of hours. The boys loved it! We got a membership the last time we went so I don't feel bad going to the zoo for just a couple of hours at a time.

When we got to my parents, my Dad was working in the field on the tractor. The boys look like they're alright with the situation, but in reality Steven was terrified.

Dallin was really excited to see the tigers.

The lions were out where we could see them, but they wouldn't turn their faces toward us.

I love how intrigued Dallin and Steven are by all the animals.

Aren't these macaw beautiful? Even Steven was enthralled by them. The cool thing is that they're not in a cage and you can practically walk right up to the tree. We were within 10 feet of them and they were being really playful with each other. It was really cute.

Does anyone else have trouble getting their kids to look or smile? I don't know why they're so unwilling to cooperate.

Dallin was really excited to see the bear, because last time we didn't get over to the bear exhibit. Unfortunately the bear was sleeping, but he didn't seem to mind.

The elephants are their favorite. They both make elephant noises and they love watching the elephants. We watched the elephants longer than any other animal. Even after 10 minutes I still  couldn't get them to look for a picture. Silly boys.
