Visiting Law Schools

The week before Easter Mark & I flew to North Carolina, got in a car and drove all over looking at different law schools. Unfortunately, I didn't take very many pictures, but I did manage to get a few.
Mark in front of the law school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

This is later that day in Cleveland. It was below freezing the whole day and even snowed off and on. I was not prepared for that cold of weather. It's April, what happened to spring?

Later that day we drove to Kirtland, Ohio and saw the church history sights. Here we are in front of Newell K. Whitney's general store. The store was on the bottom floor and upstairs Joseph and Emma lived for quite a while. A lot of the Doctrine & Covenants was written here and the School of the Prophets took place upstairs as well. What an amazing experience to see it for myself.

We also the temple. Unfortunately, it was closed that day, but at least I got to see it in person and walk around the grounds. You can't tell, but it was snowing most of the time we were there. It was so cold!

This is the Chicago skyline. We didn't get out of the car, but I've at least seen it now.

We also went to Madison, Wisconsin: which was beautiful and we drove to Lexington, Virginia;which was gorgeous. For some reason I didn't take any pictures, what was I thinking? Sometimes I would think to, but I had left the camera at the hotel or in the car. I guess I tend to be forgetful when I'm pregnant. We were away from the boys for 6 days! It was nice, but awful at the same time. I missed them so much, but we had fun and our trip was really enlightening. Hopefully, we will hear back from more schools soon and we can make a final decision.

Sounds like a fun trip! I"m glad you were able to get a break from the kiddos - that's always nice!!!

You'll have to let us know what the final word is - I'm sad that you guys are leaving...but what a neat opportunity!

We should get together sometime soon - before we both have # 3 and all heck breaks loose!

You guys were over here in our neck of the woods! We've visited a lot of those same places since moving out here. It's so fun to have cool stuff all around.

Spring takes on a whole new meaning out here. Today it's 59 degrees and raining. Crazy!

Good luck with your decision! The waiting period is the worst. Keep us posted.
